Sense Professional is a split screen document editor providing highly synchronized dual pane editing environments at both outline and detail levels.
Each screen is a culturally separate environment allowing documents to be viewed and edited in different languages.
Or the same document may be opened in both screens for viewing and editing in two places simultaneously.
Paragraphs and other document parts may be grouped into expandable / collapsible headed sections (chapters) to provide a hierarchical document tree.
Numbered paragraphs may be grouped into expandable / collapsible multilevel lists.
Whole and part Sense documents may be be merged into a single work document with material automatically adopting the main document style including section and multilevel list numbering.
Like sections and multilevel lists, merged material may be expanded and collapsed to optimiize the workspace
Merged material can be edited directly with text changes saved back to source avoiding the need to open separate document instances.
The editor provides easily accessible features for document navigation, annotation entry, hyperlink creation and maintenance.
Context sensitive word and character count measures provide tracking for target limited scripts.
Context menu and shortcut key combinations provide for rapid relocation of material between and within document tree levels.
Robust links may be readily established between documents at any level using pre-established unique line identifiers avoiding the need for bookmarks.
Multiple link targets may be rapidly previewed simultaneously as document fragments.
Freely available extensions include an Import / Export OPML plugin to use Sense as an OPML editor, a Rich Text Format (RTF) plugin for import / export to third party RTF friendly editors such as Microsoft Word and a Tab/Space Indented plain-text (TXT) Import plugin.
