Multiuser task management
The task widget displays your current tasks, completed tasks, assigned tasks and close tasks. This widget gives a quick overview of all your activities where you can also click on tasks to add, modify and complete tasks. Click on the button to view your task lists. This list will refresh every 60 seconds with any tasks that you are assigned to.
A task is any information which you want to assign to yourself or someone else. You can enter a deadline date, name, priority and description of the task. Once the task is created it can be reassigned to another person, notes attached and even chat logs attached. You can begin a chat directly from a task and all chat responses will be saved under the Notes/Chat Logs tab. You can attach MIE Docs files to tasks to make it easy for others to view and modify the tasks. This allows users to modify the document without first saving the attachment, editing the attachment and then reattaching the document to an email.
Chatting is a very useful tool and one of the free Widgets is MIE Chat. The chatting system is for intercompany chatting where users do not have access to chat outside the company. Its small chat server runs on your file server and each client now has the ability to chat, attach chats to files or tasks.
The Quick Notes widget allows you to create electronic sticky notes directly on your Windows desktop. The Quick Notes are just like paper post-it notes for your computer. Jot down tasks, messages, ideas, appointments, phone numbers, birthdays in a note and stick it on the desktop. A note can be positioned anywhere you wish, or hidden in your task bar, then searched and displayed later. Quick notes can be turned into tasks and assigned to other people in the organization. This is much different then standard notes because it is MULTI-USER. Most note applications are for individual access but with MIE Dashboard these notes can shared among multiple users.
