MCataloguer is a Unicode based multi-purpose cataloging software for CDs, DVDs, audio CDs, any hard disk folder or any other accessible media using powerful management tools to search and access files from within the catalog.
It can read audio album information including track titles, lyrics and cover art from internet, supports text search, retrive audio CD-TEXT,ISRC and catalog Nbr directly from disk, create thumbnail and save EXIF information for popular image files(.ai, .bmp, .cur, .dib, .emf, .gif, .ico, .jpg, .jng, .mng, .pgm, .pnm, .ppm, .png, .pcd, .psd, .pcx, .ras, .tif, .tiff, .tga, .wbmp, .wmf) and extract thumbnails from digital camera raw images(.bay, .bmq, .cam, .cr2, .crw, .cs1, .dc2, .dcr, .dng, .icc, .k25, .kdc, .mos, .mrw, .nef, .orf, .pef, .raf, .raw, .srf, .thm and .x3f.), extract metadata for audio files(aac, ape, mp3, mpc, ogg, wma, etc.), save tag and create thumbnail for video files(avi, mkv, rmvb, etc.), retrieve full file structure and comments for compressed archives(ace, arj, cab, gz, jar, lzh, rar, tar, tgz, zip, sfx, etc), create thumbnails and save properties for fonts(ttf, ttc, otf, fon, fnt, pfm, pfb), extract internal description for most popular documents in doc, html, pdf, rtf, txt, exe formats and so on.
Many fields can be edited at any time. Editable contents includes file/folder comments, album related information, audio files metadata, and so on.
All the catalogued disks are stored in a multi-level category hierarchy. The number of sub-categories is virtually limitless. You can browse the catalog in a friendly explorer-like viewer, find the whereabouts of a specific item you know you have without needing to insert the discs frequently. Thus you save time and extend your computer hardware life.

Media File(Video and Audio) Cataloging
MCataloguer integrates MediaInfo under the LGPL to read tag information about a video or audio file. Some of the supported formats:
Video: AVI, MKV, OGM, DV (RAW), MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-TS, MPEG-4, WMV, MOV, IFO/VOB (DVD-Video), CDXA (VCD/SVCD), Blu-ray and HD DVD files, and more.
Audio: MP3 (Id3v2), OGG, WAV, PCM, RA, AC3, DTS, AAC, M4A, AU, AIFF, WMA, APE/MAC, FLAC, and more.
To create thumbnail of a video file, MCataloguer uses code of FFmpeg licensed under the LGPLv2.1.
Thumbnail size can be ajusted from 64x64 pixel to 128x128 pixel via 'Preference' setting dialog.
Supported archive formats are: ace, arj, cab, gz, jar, lzh, rar, rar, tgz, zip, sfx.
Keeps full file structure for individual archive.
Retrieves summary or properties information for pdf, txt, rtf, html, doc, ini, diz, xls, exe, dll files. PDF bookmarks extraction and thumbnail creation are supported if Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or above is installed.
Supported most popular font types: *.ttf, *.ttc, *.otf, *.fon, *.fnt, *.pfm, *.pfb.
Saves properties and creates thumbnail image for each font. Thumbnail sample texts can be customized.
